current song: Everybody Knows - Rufus Wainwright

Reminds me of how I used to have this hazy idea of fantasy football as guys in plate mail punting around a football and shouting "LIGHTNING BOLT!"

"Good Lord! Don't mention it. Young lady wrote it--most admiring young lady. Kept telling me my work was 'strong,' and I sort of lost my head and made a lot of strange pronouncements. Some of it was good, though, don't you think?"
"Oh, yes; that part about the wise writer writing for the youth of his generation, the critic of the next, and the schoolmaster of ever afterward."
"Oh, I believe a lot of it," admitted Richard Caramel with a faint beam. "It simply was a mistake to give it out."

In reference to the quote-thing:
I've got pages and pages and a few pages more of quotes. Quotes out of books, movies, tv-series, the internet or out of my daily life.

I can't get what's so attractive about Johnny Depp. I mean for fucks sake, there are so many better looking men in their 40s around. My colleague just told me about Sweeny Todd, that's why I write about him. She wants to watch it (I mean, who doesn't?) Here in Austria I believe Sweeny Todd is out in February and I'll surely watch it. I love Helena Bonham Carter. And Johnny Depp is a quite acceptable actor, but not really attractive in my eyes.

Anyway.

'Good-bye, for the present, Bilbo. Take care of yourself! You are old enough, and perhaps wise enough.' - 'Take care! I don't care. Don't you worry about me! I am as happy now as I have ever been, and that is saying a great deal. But the time has come. I am being swept off my feet at last,' he added, and then in a low voice, as if to himself, he sang softly in the dark:

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

(J.R.R. Tolkien, LotR – FotR, Book 1, Ch. 1)

As I said, I'm a sucker for quotes and this on is quite appropriate for now.
I think I'll try to post a quote every day. Sometimes maybe two or more. YAY FOR QUOTES!.
